Job Description

In this role you will be responsible to establish and execute the strategic roadmap for digital products supporting Supply Chain processes (Demand management, Materials planning, Inventory management, Logistics, Procurement, Production, Quality, Maintenance, EHS) across all Avio Aero sites. You will manage the demand and delivery of Supply Chain‑related initiatives ensuring alignment with Business strategy and priorities while driving innovation and operational excellence.

You will be responsible for the delivery of highly complex cross‑disciplined programs that span multiple organizations and involve various stakeholders, including GE customer production support and operations as well as partners.

In particular you will lead a multi‑year transformation initiative across our plants aimed at optimizing operational processes and implementing advanced digitalisation solutions through the Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The ideal candidate has proven Program Management skills and solid experience in managing and implementing complex MES projects ensuring the achievement of the company’s strategic objectives.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point of contact for Supply Chain stakeholders, building trusted relationships and ensuring digital solutions align with overall Business strategy and key process requirements.
  • Partner with and influence leadership and business teams across all sites to develop and implement IT solutions that support Supply Chain goals and KPIs. Proactively explore emerging technology and make informed decisions based on experience, impact analysis and alignment with business needs.
  • Partner with ERP SAP Factory / Oracle team leveraging their expertise on ERP technologies to optimally execute project activities.
  • Ensure robust IT systems comply with cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive manufacturing data in alignment with GE Aerospace standards and industry regulations.
  • Map current processes, identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance product quality, delivery performance and efficiency.
  • Work closely with DT site leaders to capture site‑specific perspectives and needs, ensuring alignment and standardisation among all sites and driving standardisation of processes and technologies.
  • Coordinate team resources and budget to lead project activities, ensuring timely delivery and measurable impact.
  • Actively nurture and develop talents by providing coaching and mentoring while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and professional growth.
  • Collaborate across multiple functions and teams both within Digital Technology and Business areas to ensure successful implementation of digital solutions, adherence to policies and regulations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in Supply Chain processes.
  • Proven programme management and organisational expertise with a demonstrated ability to lead complex cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Extensive experience in the IT application development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance, with a particular focus on Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Solid customer orientation, problem‑solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive results in dynamic and fast‑paced environments.
  • Proven experience working in complex environments (multi‑business geographically distributed teams) and effectively navigating ambiguity to drive strategic outcomes.
  • Clear and effective communication to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Excellence in English communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and collaborate across diverse teams and global environments.
  • PMP certification.
  • Fluent written and spoken Italian and English.
  • Work visa in accordance with local regulation is required.

  • Competency in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma tools to drive process improvements and change management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem‑resolution skills.
