Valentino is seeking a IP Legal Counsel for a maternity cover position based in MILAN .
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive clearance searches for trademarks and designs to support Valentino collections (Design & Naming).
- Perform trademark searches using major national and international databases to identify potential conflicts or risks promptly.
- Carry out prior art searches and comparative analyses of existing designs and registered rights across key markets.
- Support internal stakeholders (Creative, Marketing & Communication, Licensing, Customer Care & After Sales teams) on IP-related matters with clear legal guidance.
Requirements:
- Law degree with a strong academic background in legal studies, with a specialization or demonstrated interest in Intellectual Property.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a legal or in-house department, preferably focused on IP matters in the fashion, luxury, or creative industries.
- Good knowledge of IP portfolio management, trademark clearance processes, and brand protection strategies.
- Proficiency in both English and Italian (written and spoken) is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and build relationships.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized mindset.
