Your Role
As an Investment Manager , you will play a key role across the full investment lifecycle, with a focus on sourcing, evaluating, and monitoring private market fund investments and select co‑investments across Buyout, Secondaries, Growth Equity, Venture Capital, and Private Credit.
You will take ownership of manager coverage and due diligence processes, work closely with senior investment professionals and the Investment Committee, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of Heritage’s investment frameworks and platform.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Sourcing and building a proprietary pipeline of high‑quality private market fund managers across strategies and geographies
- Establishing and maintaining long‑term relationships with global GPs and ecosystem participants
- Leading and executing end‑to‑end due diligence on fund investments and co‑investments
- Preparing and presenting investment memoranda to the Investment Committee
- Analysing fund performance, track records, team dynamics, and alignment of interests
- Actively monitoring an existing portfolio of private market investments
- Contributing to portfolio reporting, reviews, and internal dashboards
- Participating in client‑facing activities, including portfolio updates, investment pitches, and ongoing discussions with families and stakeholders
- Representing Heritage at relevant networking events, conferences, and industry forums
- Proposing and implementing improvements to investment processes, scorecards, KPIs, and analytical frameworks
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams across investments, platform, legal, and operations
This is a high‑ownership role with significant exposure to senior leadership, external fund managers, and clients.
About You
- 3–5 years of experience in private markets investing (Private Equity, Venture Capital, Growth Equity, Secondaries, or Private Credit), ideally within a fund of funds, asset manager, family office, or institutional allocator
- Hands‑on experience conducting manager due diligence and evaluating fund investments
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Proven experience drafting and presenting investment memoranda
- Strong understanding of key investment metrics (e.g. IRR, MOIC, benchmarking)
- Experience in client‑facing activities such as portfolio updates, investment pitches, or investor meetings
- Comfortable representing the firm in professional settings, including networking events and conferences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proactive, structured, and detail‑oriented with a strong sense of ownership
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with tools such as Preqin, PitchBook, or Power BI is a plus
- Nice to have (not required):
- Experience with direct secondaries (LP‑or GP‑led) and/or hedge funds
- Prior exposure to working with entrepreneurial families or family offices
