For our client in the private equity, we are looking for an Investment Director.
The Investment Director will be expected to:
- Lead the origination, evaluation and execution of investment opportunities across the firm’s target areas, including energy transition, sustainable infrastructure, energy efficiency.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of relationships with developers, industrial partners, advisers, sponsors and other relevant market participants.
- Assess opportunities from both a strategic and financial standpoint, including valuation, financial modelling, commercial assessment and risk analysis.
- Oversee and coordinate full due diligence processes, working alongside internal teams and external advisers across legal, financial, technical and ESG workstreams.
- Prepare and present investment materials for internal governance bodies and investment committees.
- Lead transaction structuring and negotiations through to signing and closing.
- Support the active management of portfolio companies and assets, with a focus on performance monitoring, strategic initiatives and value creation.
- Contribute to exit planning and execution where relevant.
- Work in close collaboration with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, risk, compliance and sustainability functions.
Requisiti
The ideal candidate will bring:
- 10 years of relevant experience gained within infrastructure investing, private equity, investment banking, corporate finance or asset management.
- Demonstrated experience in leading or materially contributing to complex investment transactions.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation and transaction execution skills.
- A solid understanding of sectors linked to energy, infrastructure and sustainability, ideally with exposure to transition-related investments.
- Experience interfacing with senior stakeholders, counterparties, advisers and investment committees.
- A high level of commercial judgement, intellectual rigor and execution discipline.
- The personal presence, maturity and communication skills required to represent the firm credibly in the market.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-evolving platform.
Education
A degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline is expected.
A postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or equivalent would be viewed positively.
