About the Role:
For our office in Milan, we are looking for an Internship Data Protection. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data privacy and compliance within the pharmaceutical industry. You will work closely with our Data Protection and Legal teams to support initiatives ensuring Dompé’s compliance with GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations, such as EU AI Act and cybersecurity regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining and updating Dompé’s data protection policies, procedures, and records.
- Support data protection impact assessments (DPIAs, LIAs, TIAs) and internal audits.
- Monitor and respond to data subject requests under GDPR (access, rectification, deletion, etc.).
- Help in the preparation of training materials and awareness campaigns for employees on data privacy topics.
- Assist in the review of contracts, agreements, and third-party vendor data processing activities, privacy notices.
- Conduct research on emerging data protection regulations and best practices.
- Provide general administrative support to the Data Protection team.
- Conduct research on AI-related risks and cybersecurity program implementation.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Law, Business, IT, or related fields.
Required Skills:
- Basic understanding of GDPR and data privacy principles (AI Act and Digital Package regulation is a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- High level of discretion and integrity when handling confidential information.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
