Internship opportunity

We are looking for an intern to join the Compliance 231 & Internal Audit Division. The purpose of the Division is to ensure the compliance of operational processes with regulatory requirements and with the strategic and organizational choices of the University, particularly in accordance with the Organization and Management Model pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001.

In this context, the structure:

  • supports the University in the evaluation of non-compliance with regulations and in the establishment of adequate controls, including internal regulatory provisions
  • proposes organizational and procedural changes aimed at ensuring adequate control of noncompliance risks
  • verifies the effectiveness of organizational adjustments (structures, processes, procedures including operational and commercial) suggested for the prevention of non-compliance risk
  • prepares information flows directed to top management, supervisory bodies, and involved structures.

The Division also acts as an internal consultant to operational structures that are the first to be involved in compliance with regulations.

In particular, the intern will be supporting a small, dynamic and cross-functional team in the following activities:

  • Assist the team in internal audit activities to assess the effectiveness of the Internal Control System (traceability of relevant documentation, access to Systems, controls carried out on processes, principle of segregation of roles, minimum privilege, etc.).
  • Support the identification of procedures and relevant documentation and the analysis of documentation and data.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of project outputs including audit reports, including the documentation of results and recommendations.
  • Help in monitoring corrective interventions identified in the audit recommendation follow-up phase.
  • Provide support to colleagues from other Units in maintaining and updating internal procedures and policies in line with Legislative Decree 231/01.
  • Support the Internal Audit 231 & Compliance Division in carrying out awareness and training initiatives related to compliance and risk prevention.


Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree with an outstanding academic path
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Work/study/life experience abroad or in international/multicultural contexts (at least 6 months)
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Soft skills: positive and enthusiastic with very good interpersonal and team working skills; analytical and critical thinking; hands-on approach; customer oriented approach along with the ability to adapt to different target; able to organize and manage the work timely and autonomously; self-starter with strong attention to detail and problem solving approach.
