We are looking for a Data Governance Specialist (Intern) to join our dynamic team and contribute to the FIELD SERVICE MANAGEMENT (FSM) program — a key initiative enabling the transition to KONE’s new Service Management System.


Role Overview

As a Data Governance Specialist intern, you will support activities related to data analysis, validation, and quality assurance, ensuring consistency and integrity across our systems.

After a comprehensive onboarding and training period, you will:

  • Collaborate with teams across Italy, Iberica, Europe, and KCO to define criteria and standards for Master Data fields, involving relevant business stakeholders.
  • Analyze data extracted from SAP and verify compliance with KONE requirements.
  • Coordinate and support data cleansing and correction activities in cooperation with cross-functional colleagues.
  • Contribute to a smooth deployment of the new FSM tool by ensuring data accuracy and readiness.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM discipline (with exposure to statistics and ICT systems).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (mandatory).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access and SAP environment is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Excellent command of English (both written and spoken); Italian and/or Spanish are a plus.

During your internship, you will have the opportunity to:

  2. Enhance Data Analysis and Management Skills: Extract, analyze, and validate data from ERP systems (SAP) and support data cleansing and migration activities.
  3. Strengthen Technical Proficiency: Gain hands-on experience with Excel advanced features, SAP, and reporting tools.
  4. Collaborate Across Functions and Regions: Work closely with colleagues from Italy, Iberica, Europe, and KCO in an international project context.
  5. Build Professional and Soft Skills: Improve problem-solving, adaptability, and communication in a complex project environment.
