Battery Test Engineer (R&D – Laboratory Scale)
Location: Rho, Italy (Near the metro station)
Type: Internship (On-site)
Salary: €1,000 / month
Working Hours: 09:00–12:45, 14:00–18:00
Role Description
We are looking for a Battery Test Engineer to support our R&D activities at laboratory scale. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong engineering and modeling background, complementary to battery scientists and chemists, who can bridge experimental testing with data analysis and simulation.
The Battery Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing battery tests, developing models to interpret battery behavior, and supporting the R&D team with quantitative insights. While prior experience in battery assembly is not required, the candidate should be comfortable working hands-on in a laboratory environment. Training will be provided for battery assembly, disassembly, and test procedures.
Responsibilities
- RFB cell assembly, testing and data analysis
- Support battery modeling activities, including shunt current modeling and system-level analysis
- Collaborate closely with battery scientists, chemists, and R&D engineers
- Support laboratory-scale R&D activities
Qualifications
- MSc in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical or similar)
- Familiar with Matlab/Simulink or Open Modelica
- Ability to work both independently and in a multidisciplinary R&D team
- Good written and verbal communication skills (english)
