International Tax Manager - Italy

Position Overview

As part of the Overseas Tax Center of Excellence (OTCOE) team of the EMEA region, the Tax Manager will oversee the tax compliance and risk management of group entities in Midea Italy. The role requires a deep understanding of local tax regulations and the ability to implement effective tax strategies to optimize local entities’ tax positions.

Key Responsibilities

• Promotion and implementation of the Group’s global/regional tax strategy and policy in Italy.
• Stay current on regional and local tax legislation, assess impacts, communicate with internal stakeholders, and conduct regular tax trainings.
• Lead or participate in local tax health check projects or audits initiated by tax authorities, with external advisors as needed.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, and business teams to ensure tax‑compliant and efficient structuring of transactions and operations, and provide ad‑hoc practical tax solutions.
• Monitor tax compliance status of local entities, support internal tax reporting review, and manage local tax compliance process improvements.
• Assist in the implementation of the Group’s global tax digitalization initiatives and coordinate with local entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in local country tax practice, preferably in an international setting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain tax technical issues to non‑tax professionals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
