Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive U.S. international direct tax planning strategies for new and ongoing business initiatives, focusing on AWS.
  • Analyze and document tax technical advice covering U.S. and local country tax implications for complex business transactions.
  • Collaborate extensively with business teams and tax department members to provide strategic tax guidance.
  • Prepare detailed tax documentation that supports reporting, compliance, and tax controversy analysis.
  • Communicate complex tax concepts effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

About the Team

We are a collaborative and forward‑thinking tax team dedicated to supporting Amazon's global business objectives. Our group thrives on intellectual curiosity, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate complex international tax environments. We work closely with business leaders to ensure our tax strategies align with broader organizational goals and support innovative business initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance, or related analytical field experience.
  • Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax department.
  • CPA, J.D., or equivalent professional credential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of data analytics with tools such as Tableau, SQL, Quick‑Sight.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas to leaders, stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience with end‑to‑end ownership of major project deliverables.
  • Experience working effectively on milestone‑driven projects in a fast‑paced, team environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: USA, VA, Arlington – $89,900.00–$157,200.00 annually; USA, WA, Seattle – $89,900.00–$157,200.00 annually.

Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
