About Us
Flutter, the world’s largest online sports betting and iGaming group listed on the London and New York stock exchanges, is home to the Southern Europe & Africa (SEA) region, featuring iconic brands like Sisal, Snai and PokerStars, a globally loved brand that embodies innovation and ambition, with significant growth potential in a dynamic market.
What you’ll do:
Join the Regional Finance department, within the Financial Compliance team, reporting directly to the Financial Compliance Senior Manager.
You will play a key role in the governance and continuous improvement of the internal control framework, with a specific focus on IT Application Controls (ITAC) and Segregation of Duties (SoD), ensuring their effective integration within end‑to‑end business processes and acting as a key interface with Group functions.
In particular, you will:
- Support the regional governance and coordination of SOX‑related activities, acting as the main interface with Group functions responsible for audit and testing activities and with External Auditors.
- Ensure the proper positioning, implementation and maintenance of IT Application Controls (ITAC) and system‑generated reports, by:
- analysing business processes and related risks
- ensuring that application controls and reports are coherently embedded within process‑level controls
- supporting control owners in the identification of gaps and in the definition and execution of remediation actions
- Execute recurring Segregation of Duties (SoD) monitoring activities, in line with the defined control framework, including periodic analysis of user access, roles and authorizations and progressively take ownership and coordination of recurring SoD controls, overseeing planning, execution, follow‑up of exceptions and remediation activities, in collaboration with IT and business stakeholders.
- Act as a reference point for SoD‑related remediation, supporting root cause analysis and the definition of sustainable mitigating actions aligned with business processes.
- Contribute to the evolution and governance of the SoD model, ensuring consistency between system authorizations and functional duties across end‑to‑end business processes.
- Support the definition and update of policies, procedures and guidelines related to SoD governance and application‑level controls.
The role requires a strong ability to interpret IT Application Controls and system‑generated reports within the context of end‑to‑end business processes, rather than from a purely technical perspective.
What you’ll bring:
- At least 7 years of experience in Internal Controls, Financial Compliance, IT Controls or GRC‑related roles, preferably in complex and multinational environments.
- Solid experience with IT Application Controls (ITAC) and system‑generated reports supporting business process controls.
- Proven hands‑on experience in executing and coordinating recurring Segregation of Duties monitoring activities, including follow‑up and remediation of identified exceptions.
- Strong understanding of end‑to‑end business processes (e.g. Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report) and the linkage between processes, controls, system reports and authorizations.
- Good knowledge of SOX governance and internal control frameworks, with experience interacting with Group or corporate functions.
- Ability to support control owners in translating control gaps into pragmatic, sustainable and business‑aligned remediation actions.
- Degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems or similar disciplines.
- Experience in regulated, digital or highly automated environments is considered a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to manage complexity across processes, systems and stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional and international environment.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
