Overview
Baker Hughes, a global energy technology company, offers a 6‑month internship within the Clean Power Solutions (CPS) Product Leadership team. Interns support strategic initiatives in power generation, energy transition, grid resilience, decarbonization technologies, and emerging energy solutions for industrial, utility, and data center customers. Key Responsibilities
Support Product Leaders in developing and executing product strategies across the CPS portfolio. Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking on energy transition technologies, power generation markets, data centers, utilities, and industrial customers. Assist in developing business cases, growth strategies, and market‑entry assessments for new technologies and services. Support creation of customer value propositions, commercial collateral, technical presentations, and executive‑level reports. Analyze market trends, customer requirements, regulatory developments, and technology roadmaps influencing the power generation sector. Develop quantitative analyses including market sizing, financial modeling, project economics, lifecycle value assessments, and technology comparisons. Support product launch activities, New Product Development (NPD) initiatives, and commercialization programs. Contribute to customer engagement preparations, strategic workshops, Voice of Customer (VOC) activities, and executive presentations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Engineering, Sales, Commercial Operations, Product Management, Technology, and Finance. Support development of dashboards, KPIs, business intelligence tools, and management reporting. Participate in innovation projects exploring future energy technologies and integrated energy solutions. Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Electrical, Aerospace, or Energy Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Strong interest in energy technologies, power generation, sustainability, and decarbonization solutions. Basic understanding of thermodynamics, energy systems, power generation technologies, or industrial processes. Familiarity with data analysis, engineering calculations, and quantitative problem‑solving. Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools. Basic experience with market research, business analysis, or engineering projects is considered a plus. Strong analytical thinking and ability to synthesize complex technical and commercial information. Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to work in a fast‑paced international environment. Preferred Skills
Knowledge of power generation technologies, gas turbines, renewable energy, hydrogen, geothermal, carbon capture, or energy storage. Familiarity with business case development, financial analysis, or market assessment methodologies. Experience with data analytics, business intelligence, or engineering simulation tools.
