Descrizione dell'offerta

About Us Pipein is transforming how critical infrastructure is inspected and maintained across water and wastewater systems, energy assets, and underwater and large‑scale civil infrastructure. We are a fast‑moving deep‑tech startup developing DDS3, an integrated robotic and software system that combines advanced inspection robots with a digital platform to operate inside pipelines, tunnels, and complex confined environments. DDS3 converts inspection data into actionable insights for smarter asset management, risk reduction, and predictive maintenance. We are scaling and being deployed more broadly in the field. To support this growth, we are hiring talented individuals to join our team at a unique moment to shape the future of our technology. The Role: Integration & Testing Engineer This practical engineering role sits at the intersection of R&D, lab testing, and field operations. Your main focus will be ensuring our robotic subsystems, sensors, and accessories are correctly assembled, tested, and ready for deployment. What You Will Do

System Assembly & Integration: Assemble, integrate, and maintain robotic systems, accessories, sensors, and subsystems. Testing, Maintenance & Repair: Support system testing and validation to ensure robots are operational, reliable, and ready for deployment; contribute to maintenance and repair of robotic assets, including soldering, cable management, component replacements, and system rework. Operational & Workshop Support: Support day‑to‑day engineering and field activities, including workshop tasks, inventory management, and preparation of systems for deployment. Hardware, Firmware & R&D Support: Troubleshoot hardware and firmware problems on custom and off‑the‑shelf components, implement practical fixes, and support the R&D team by testing new hardware, firmware, and system improvements.

Who We Are Looking For

Hands‑on Problem Solver: Comfortable diagnosing issues, troubleshooting systems, and finding solutions under operational constraints. Hands‑on Engineering Mindset: Comfortable with electronics, robotic systems, sensors, and embedded hardware; experienced with soldering, wiring, hardware maintenance, system debugging, and general lab or workshop work. Linux & Technical Environments: Proficient working in Linux environments and using technical tools as part of workflow. Hardware & Firmware Troubleshooting: Experienced debugging hardware and embedded systems, identifying issues across electronics, firmware, wiring, communication interfaces, and system‑level interactions. Adaptable & Reliable: Comfortable switching between assembly, operational support, debugging, testing, and logistics as priorities evolve. Ownership & Initiative: Take responsibility for work, proactively understand and improve problems.

Education & Experience

Degree in electronics, mechatronics, robotics or related fields is appreciated; alternative educational paths considered if supported by strong practical experience. 1–3 Years Experience: Early in career, driven, curious, eager to take ownership; valued motivation, learning speed, initiative. Experience from student teams, robotics competitions, maker projects, or personal technical projects is highly valued. English Fluency (B2 or higher) required for internal communications and technical documentation.
