Integration Engineer & Agentic Systems - Hybrid

At Vera AI,  we are building the first WhatsApp-native digital brain for businesses —  an intelligent chat that connects and controls all company tools, data, and workflows.

Our goal is to reinvent how salespeople and executives work: no dashboards or logins, just natural conversation that acts and evolves with every interaction, letting professionals manage data and perform actions across systems in real-time, from anywhere.

Our first client is live, our roadmap is clear and we’re now entering the growth phase. To accelerate this journey, we are looking for an extraordinary Integration Engineer to shape the architecture and bring the technical core of Vera to life.

• Design and build enterprise integrations with CRM/ERP systems (e.g. Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Google Workspace, Notion, etc.) using Nango or custom connectors.
• Create sandboxes and test environments to map data models and validate integration flows end-to-end.
• Manage complex authentication flows (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT) and handle webhooks, sync strategies, rate limiting, and retry logic.
• Build async/event-driven architectures using workers, queues, and background jobs for reliable data flows.
• Implement structured observability across all integrations: logs, metrics, and traces using Grafana LGTM, Prometheus, and eBPF where it adds value.
• Own API lifecycle management : versioning, documentation, security best practices, and privacy-by-design principles.
• Contribute to Python-based agent workflows (Agno v2 / AgentOS) with tool use, memory, and safety guardrails.
• Maintain lightweight CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), containerization, and deployments on Cloudflare + Azure/GCP.
• Contribute occasionally to TypeScript/React dashboards for integration debugging, monitoring, and analytics.

• 3–5 years of backend/integrations engineering experience , with strong Python skills (TypeScript is a plus).
• Deep API expertise : REST/GraphQL design, authentication mechanisms, webhook handling, and multi-tenant architecture.
• Hands-on integration experience : you've built, debugged, and shipped connectors to third-party systems end-to-end.
• Solid understanding of async/event-driven patterns and distributed system reliability.
• Pragmatic infrastructure mindset : you can set up sandboxes, automate deployments, and keep systems observable without over-engineering.

Nice to Have's:

• Understanding of LLMs and agentic systems — you don't need to be an AI expert, but you should understand concepts like tool use, prompts, and agent workflows.
• Experience with agent frameworks like LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar.
• Rust knowledge for performance-critical components.
• Genuine curiosity about how AI connects to real business systems at scale.
