Description

On behalf of the Italian subsidiary of the group - SSC Italy - we are seeking passionate individuals with a strong background in space engineering and experience in real‑time operations to support one of our customers in Italy.

Requirements

  • MSc in Aerospace or Space, Telecommunication Engineering or other relevant studies.
  • At least 2 years as ILS Engineer or similar role.
  • Lifecycle Management expertise, Technical Integration skills, ability to contextualize inputs from different teams.
  • Advanced level of English and excellent communication skills.
  • Must be available to support mission‑critical operations, including off‑nominal or emergency situations (may require shift work or on‑call availability).
  • Occasional travel to integration, launch, or ground station sites for support activities.
  • Capability to work in high‑security or controlled environments (e.g., ITAR/EAR or ESA security clearance may be required).

Legal and Security Requirements

  • Applicants must be legally allowed to work in the EU and hold a European citizenship. Evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.
  • Copy of passport and degree(s) certificate.
  • Good conduct certificate from the country where currently resident.
  • All potential employees will undergo stringent reference checks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement ILS plans for spacecraft, launch systems, and ground support equipment to ensure long‑term operational supportability.
  • Define maintenance concepts, spare parts strategies, and reliability/availability metrics for both space and ground systems.
  • Coordinate with design, manufacturing, and mission operations teams to optimize supportability early in the system lifecycle.
  • Manage the configuration and documentation of logistics data, maintenance procedures, and technical publications.
  • Support failure analysis, corrective actions, and obsolescence management to ensure continuous operational capability.
