What You Can Expect
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Inside Sales Team Leader to support our growing team of Inside Sales Representatives in the orthopaedic medical device space, covering France, Switzerland & BeNeLux.
This role involves providing leadership, mentorship, and coordination within a dotted-line management structure. The Team Leader will play a pivotal role in driving sales performance, fostering team collaboration, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
How You'll Create Impact
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Support and Leadership:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Inside Sales Representatives, offering guidance, coaching, and support to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager to establish clear objectives and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Motivate and inspire the team to maintain a high-performance culture.

Sales Performance:
  • Monitor and evaluate sales metrics, pipeline activity, and quota attainment for the team.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and implement strategies to improve performance where needed.
  • Assist in the development of sales campaigns and initiatives tailored to the orthopaedic market and country(ies) within your scope.

Operational Oversight:
  • Facilitate daily team huddles and coordinate workload distribution among representatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing and customer service, to address client needs and opportunities.
  • Oversee CRM usage to ensure accurate reporting, pipeline management, and adherence to sales processes.

Training and Development:
  • Provide mentorship and training for new and existing team members on products, sales techniques, and orthopaedic market trends.
  • Identify skill gaps and recommend tailored training opportunities.
  • Conduct shadowing sessions and role-playing exercises to enhance sales effectiveness.

Customer Relationship Management:
  • Support the team in managing relationships with key orthopaedic accounts, surgeons, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure timely and effective follow-up on leads and customer inquiries.

Reporting and Communication:
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports and updates to the Inside Sales Leader as well as various Leadership Teams and your Regional Sales Manager peers.
  • Communicate key updates, feedback, and action plans to the team.

What Makes You Stand Out
  • Sales team leadership, coaching experience, motivation to build up and develop an Inside Sales team
  • Strong analytical understanding to drive performance and customer understanding
  • Excellent communication, oral and written skills
  • Strong familiarity with digital channels, excellent inside selling process experience using sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, analytics & reporting, etc.)
  • Remote sales, remote sales methodologies, social selling.
  • Preferred: Knowledge related to medical devices/orthopaedics

Your Background
  • Minimum of 3 years in inside sales, preferably within the medical device or orthopaedic industry.
  • Minimum 2 years in an inside sales leadership role with matrix management
  • Language: Fluent in English and French

Travel Expectations
  • 15 - 20%
  • Punctual travel to various countries in Europe according to business needs (i.e.: leadership and team meetings, company events etc.)
  • Role location: Lyon
