PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Inland Delivery Team Manager tasks are clustered around the topics of inland transport execution, service level provided by selected service providers, automation and standardization of transportation planning and inland process across IDT. IDT Manager ensuring timely and accurate vendor and customer communication and proactive regular calls with main Customers and providers. Cooperates with your Sales, Customer and Operations colleagues to increase internal efficiencies and provide significantly improved service quality and enhanced Customer experience, also managing complex accounts, claims or customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Monitor of transport planning and related IDT activities, ensuring workload is reasonably split among all SIB IDT users.
• Monitor and optimize process data and information for Inland transport requests.
• Ensure execution of transport and adherence to agreed quality standards including potential exception handling agreements for specific Customers.
• Monitor delay handling and ensure prompt info flows and proactive information on status of respective shipments to customers.
• Support IDT Steering Manager and team for activities related to disputes with Customers and vendors.
• Monitor IDT processes to identify best practices and potential for standardization and automation, actively promoting constant development and open cooperation with PPS dept.
• Ensure ongoing relationship and info exchanges with top inland Customers with regular follow up and meetings (in presence and remote) to build long term relationship and reciprocal proactive feedback in close coordination with Sales and CS counterparts.
• Monitor IDT KPI, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Closely cooperate with other QSC/areas for best practice implementation and process enhancements.
• With IDT superuser coordinate and oversee IDT training program and provide for IDT team training requirements.
• Implement formal vendor performance tracking.
• Ensure work orders authorization is handled in due time to allow smooth flow of activities in BA.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- University degree or equivalent
- Over 5 years of professional experience in Shipping forwarding or logistics ideally in operations and/or customer service
- Leadership and communication skills
- Excellent understanding of logistics and Inland transport
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good organizational and communications skills, with high degree of customer and service orientation
- High level of initiative, ability to work in a team and under pressure
- Advanced knowledge of written and spoken English, knowledge of Spanish language
- Goal and deadline driven
- Receptive and be able to grasp new ideas and motivate oneself for personal development
