ABOUT THE ROLE – SENIOR PROJECT PLANNER

For engineering activities related to major industrial projects, we are currently looking for a Senior Project Planner with solid experience in plant engineering projects , particularly within the Oil & Gas sector .

The selected candidate will be responsible for the development, monitoring and control of project schedules , supporting project teams and management in ensuring the correct planning and execution of complex EPC projects.

The role requires strong expertise in Primavera P6 , excellent analytical capabilities and experience working on large-scale industrial projects with EPC Contractors .

Experience from the Owner/Client side will be considered a strong advantage.

Main Responsibilities

• Development and management of project schedules using Primavera P6 for complex industrial projects.
• Definition and structuring of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) in coordination with engineering and project management teams.
• Preparation and maintenance of project baseline schedules .
• Monitoring of project progress and analysis of deviations between planned and actual activities.
• Identification of critical path activities and potential project delays.
• Preparation of progress reports, S-curves and planning dashboards for internal and client reporting.
• Support to project managers and engineering disciplines in the planning and coordination of project activities.
• Participation in project review meetings and schedule alignment sessions with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Analysis of schedule risks and mitigation strategies .
• Interface with engineering, procurement and construction teams to ensure proper integration of project planning activities.
• Support to cost control activities , including progress measurement and schedule-based cost monitoring (nice to have).

Requirements

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience as Project Planner in industrial plant engineering projects.
• Proven experience in Oil & Gas, energy or large industrial EPC projects .
• Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 .
• Experience working with major EPC Contractors .
• Previous experience working from the Owner/Client side is considered a strong plus.
• Knowledge of planning methodologies, project controls and progress measurement techniques .
• Basic understanding of cost control processes considered a plus.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in complex, multidisciplinary project environments .

Languages

• Fluent English is mandatory
• Italian is considered a plus
