Information technology site lead

We are seeking an experienced Local IT Services Coordinators to provide onsite IT coordination and operational support across shipyard environments in Monfalcone and Ancona. The successful candidates will act as the primary liaison between local business departments, central IT teams, and third-party service providers, ensuring efficient resolution of IT issues and smooth execution of IT-related activities. This is a coordination-focused role rather than a hands-on technical engineering position. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and vendor coordination skills, along with a solid understanding of IT infrastructure and support operations. Location: Monfalcone, Italy and Ancona, Italy (2 positions available) Contract Duration: 12 months, with potential extensions up to 3 years Employment Type: Full-Time Language Requirements: Italian, English (Professional Working Proficiency) Key Responsibilities Provide daily onsite IT support coordination for shipyard departments and business users. Engage with end users to identify, assess, and analyze reported IT issues. Move throughout the shipyard as required to support local operational needs. Coordinate and monitor third-party IT vendors responsible for technical interventions and issue resolution. Manage and track incidents related to networking, connectivity, data center services, and IT infrastructure. Act as the primary point of contact between local shipyard operations and central IT teams. Support the planning and execution of onsite IT projects delivered by external service providers. Ensure timely communication and escalation of issues to the appropriate stakeholders. Monitor service delivery performance and ensure vendors meet agreed service levels. Facilitate collaboration between multiple internal and external teams to drive issue resolution. Provide status updates, reporting, and documentation related to ongoing IT activities. Required Skills & Experience Experience coordinating IT support, infrastructure, or service delivery activities. Strong understanding of IT operations, including: Network services Connectivity issues Data center environments End-user support processes IT infrastructure services Proven experience managing vendors, suppliers, or outsourced service providers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities. Ability to prioritize activities and coordinate multiple workstreams simultaneously. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. Negotiation and conflict-resolution skills. Comfortable working in a dynamic industrial or manufacturing environment. Preferred Experience Experience in shipyards, manufacturing plants, industrial facilities, or large operational sites. Experience working with managed service providers and infrastructure vendors. Knowledge of ITIL or IT Service Management practices. Previous experience coordinating organisations such as NTT, TIM, Accenture, or similar IT service providers.
