The Difference You Will Make
We are looking for a dynamic, collaborative, and creative Influencer Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract to lead execution of Airbnb’s influencer strategy in Italy. In this role, you’ll localise regional priorities and deliver best-in-class campaigns that connect Airbnb to culturally relevant conversations and communities.
You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day influencer execution: identifying and nurturing creator relationships, leading campaigns end-to-end, overseeing briefing and contracting, and partnering closely with internal stakeholders and agency teams.
This is a hands-on role for someone passionate and knowledgeable about the power of influencer marketing and knows how to translate brand objectives into content that is native, thumb-stopping and earns influence, not interrupts.
A Typical Day
- Execute local influencer campaigns aligned to regional and global priorities, owning timelines, creative execution, and performance tracking
- Build and manage strong relationships with creators—from up-and-coming talent to seasoned partners—to ensure authentic storytelling and long-term brand advocacy
- Identify and vet influencers for brand and campaign fit across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, ensuring inclusive, culturally relevant casting
- Draft clear, strategic briefs that reflect campaign objectives, key messages, and content guidelines
- Partner with legal and agency teams to draft and negotiate influencer contracts, including deliverables, usage rights, paid media options, exclusivity, and payment
- Identify opportunities for collaboration with key opinion formers including policy, cultural and news influencers and third party validators; build out an Italy policy influencer program and coordinate with agencies as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams (PR, policy, social, marketing, legal, and community) to ensure seamless campaign delivery
- Manage logistics for influencer stays or experiences—vetting, Host coordination, credit/coupon approvals
- Lead influencer onboarding and content reviews to ensure quality and alignment with Airbnb brand standards
- Track influencer performance and deliver regular updates to the regional team; support end-of-campaign reports across social channels (with agency support)
- Work with the Marketing Affiliates team and regional influencer lead to align plans and maximize impact
- Partner with the policy team and policy comms manager to ideate and create reputation-building campaigns with relevant key opinion leaders and industry experts
- Stay plugged into culture and trends, bringing forward creator ideas and reactive opportunities in real time
- Monitor performance using tools such as CreatorIQ and Sprinklr; collaborate with agency to optimize campaigns
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in influencer marketing, talent partnerships, or social-first content strategy
- A deep understanding of the creator landscape in Italy and strong instincts on what content resonates and why
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end influencer campaigns: from sourcing and briefing to contracting and performance analysis
- Track record of advising political decision makers (party, NGO, corporate) on social media/amplification strategy, and running effective social media operations
- Experience working with social platforms including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
- Confident managing external agencies and multiple stakeholders across legal, marketing, and comms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience writing briefs and reviewing content
- Comfortable with creator negotiations, including deliverables, usage rights, and paid media
- Familiarity with influencer marketing tools (CreatorIQ, Sprinklr or similar) and reporting best practices
- Able to juggle multiple campaigns, creators, and deliverables at once while maintaining high attention to detail
- Passion for storytelling, digital culture, and brand building through the creator economy
