Overview
This is a senior position within the Industry Consulting team of the EMIA (Europe, Middle East, India, and Africa) Pre-Sales organization, reporting to the director for Industry Consultants. The role requires in-depth knowledge of industrial facilities' design and execution, focusing on how digitalization and technology can improve business processes.
The primary focus is on materials and contracts management, construction processes, engineering, supply chain, procurement, expediting, inspection, traffic, logistics, and site control. Experience with Hexagon solutions supporting these processes, as well as commissioning, project management, and asset lifecycle information management, is advantageous. Knowledge of EPC and owner-operator organizations is also beneficial.
The Industry Consultant collaborates with sales teams to demonstrate the value of Hexagon solutions, conduct evaluations of customer practices, organize workshops, and support proposals. They attend conferences, provide thought leadership, and train internal teams. The role involves sharing knowledge with other Industry and Solution Consultants.
Responsibilities
- Work with sales to understand customer needs and develop strategies to meet desired outcomes.
- Interpret customer requirements and propose suitable Hexagon ALI solutions.
- Evaluate customer business practices and processes, making recommendations based on Hexagon solutions.
- Understand the operational and project processes in industrial facilities.
- Work independently and as part of a team to deliver software solutions.
- Lead requirements workshops, document processes, develop cost-benefit analyses, and define solutions.
- Provide feedback to influence product strategy.
- Share knowledge and strategies with regional teams.
Business Development
- Build and grow a pipeline of opportunities in EMIA.
- Collaborate with sales teams in lead generation and qualification.
- Support business growth initiatives and develop account plans.
- Lead discussions on business outcomes and digital transformation roadmaps.
- Develop thought leadership content and participate in industry events.
- Articulate industry challenges and Hexagon solutions effectively.
- Support marketing campaigns and collaborate with Solution Consultants.
- Engage with customers as a strategic advisor and contribute to RFIs and RFPs.
Travel: Estimated 40% throughout the EMIA region.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including experience with C-Level audiences.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages preferred.
- Deep understanding of materials and contracts management in EPC projects.
- Experience and relationships in key markets within EPC or owner-operator sectors.
- Proven track record in industry or business development consulting.
- Experience in industrial sales and knowledge of engineering, project management, and asset lifecycle processes is advantageous.
- Engineering or business degree or equivalent qualification.
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
