Industrial Project Manager


At AD Energy Recruitment, we partner with global leaders in renewable energy, biogas, waste-to-value and industrial plant construction. We are currently supporting a major organisation in their search for an Industrial Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of complex industrial plant projects across the clean-energy sector.


This role is ideal for an experienced Project Manager with a strong engineering background, proven leadership capabilities, and a track record of managing full-lifecycle industrial plant projects.


Mission

To own and manage assigned projects end-to-end—ensuring delivery meets commercial targets, timeline commitments, safety standards, and customer satisfaction.

  • Deliver projects within or ahead of budget
  • Maintain or improve scheduled timelines
  • Achieve high levels of client satisfaction
  • Produce accurate reporting and documentation within agreed timeframes
  • Identify risks early and implement effective mitigation
  • Identify opportunities to improve project revenues and gross profit


Role Responsibilities

The Industrial Project Manager will:


  • Review and understand contractual obligations, ensuring full compliance throughout project execution
  • Identify project risks early and implement corresponding countermeasures
  • Lead communication and relationships with customers, including correspondence, meetings, and minor contractual changes
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and all purchasing activities
  • Lead internal and external project resources, ensuring alignment, prioritisation, and timely delivery
  • Provide clear organisation, leadership, and motivation to the project team
  • Maintain strong communication and coordination across all project stakeholders
  • Deliver all reporting requirements accurately and on schedule
  • Develop and update the overall project schedule on an ongoing basis
  • Support pre-sales activities, including contract negotiations and schedule development
  • Execute additional tasks related to the project as assigned by senior leadership


Authority

The Project Manager will have authority to:

  • Sign project correspondence with customers and vendors
  • Approve purchase orders within delegated authority
  • Approve labour and travel budgets related to assigned projects


Safety & Quality

Safety is a top priority. The Project Manager is expected to:

  • Ensure full compliance with company and project-specific safety policies
  • Promote safe working practices across design, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases
  • Ensure all project data, reporting, and deadlines are accurate and reliable


Requirements

Education

A technical degree in one of the following:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering


Experience

  • Significant experience as a Project Manager within the industrial plant sector
  • Proven track record delivering complex mechanical/electrical/industrial installations


Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of contract management for complex plant supply
  • Skilled in customer relationship management
  • Experience leading project teams and coordinating diverse stakeholders
  • Strong project scheduling and administration capabilities
  • Familiarity with procurement and purchasing activities
  • Fluency in English; fluency in the local language of operation


Desirable:

  • Experience in the biogas / RNG / waste-to-value sector
