Industrial Engineer – Manufacturing Industrialization

The Engineering division or Randstad, specializing in the recruitment of profile within the technical, production, and engineering sectors, is currently seeking a Industrial Engineer – Manufacturing Industrialization for a leading company in the defense industry .
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and optimize manufacturing methods, processes, and equipment for electronic boards, avionics assemblies, and mechanical components
- Prepare and maintain BOMs, routings, and work cycles in ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
- Conduct Time & Methods analysis and define standard work sequences
- Perform production capacity analysis and develop flow charts and Value Stream Maps
- Collaborate in concurrent engineering with design teams to ensure Design for Manufacturing (DfM), repairability, and maintainability
- Support introduction and maintenance of production equipment and tooling
- Investigate and document non-conformities; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies (VSM, 5S, SMED, TPM, RCA, Six Sigma, DMAIC)
- Utilize process control tools (SPC, Cp, Cpk, control charts) and quality frameworks (FMEA, PFMEA)
- Develop and deploy automation and digital manufacturing solutions, including simulation tools and Digital Twin environments
- Create technical documentation and KPI dashboards aligned with project milestones
Skills and Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering (or related field)
- Proven experience in industrialization and manufacturing process optimization within aerospace or electronics sectors
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP), PLM platforms (e.g., Teamcenter), and MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and quality methodologies
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and process documentation
- Familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Solid Edge) and simulation tools for process modeling
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken)
Plus Skills:
- Experience with automation, robotics, and MES integration (ISA-95/ISA-88 standards)
- Knowledge of digital manufacturing technologies and IIoT platforms
- Exposure to avionics or electronic board production processes
- Familiarity with industrial cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (IEC 62443, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
- Ability to manage performance indicators and continuous improvement projects
- Experience with advanced data analysis tools (Power BI, SQL)
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent
This position is offered on a project-based contract .
