For a solid production Italian company with an international scope based in the province of Bergamo, we are looking for an Industrial Controller who, as part of a team of 3 people, supports management control and economic analysis activities.


Overview

The Industrial Controller manager is responsible for the complete, accurate, and timely execution of financial and general accounting tasks in a machinery manufacturing company. With solid understanding of industrial value-creation processes, the accountant ensures that entries, closings, and financial analyses accurately reflect the economic realities of production, inventory, and project activities.


Main Responsibilities


Financial and General Ledger Accounting

- Independent management of the general ledger and selected sub-ledgers.

- Ensuring correct accounting of production orders, projects, and inventory movements.

- Execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings according to local regulations and relevant accounting standards (IFRS).

- Reconciliation of accounts and monitoring of balance sheet and profit & loss items.

- Supporting the posting of all ongoing business transactions (accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank, cash, fixed assets)


Fixed Asset and Project Accounting

- Maintenance of fixed assets, including capitalizations, depreciation, and disposals.

- Accounting support for investment and production-related projects.

- Monitoring CAPEX budgets and verifying correct accounting classifications.


Cost and Production-Related Accounting

- Cooperation with Controlling and Production to ensure accurate booking of production and overhead costs.

- Support with inventories, stock valuations, and variance analyses.

- Verification of stock and material postings, ensuring correct cost allocation for setup, production, and overhead costs.


Taxes, Compliance & Audit

- Preparation and support with VAT returns and other tax-related filings.

- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.

- Support for external and internal auditors, including preparation of required documentation.


Processes & Digitalization

- Participation in the development of financial processes, interfaces, and systems (ERP, digital workflows).

- Identification of optimization potential in processes and reporting structures.

- Support with ERP adjustments or implementations.


Requirements


Education & Experience


- Commercial education or degree in finance/accounting.

  • solid competence in accounting will be required

- Further education in finance (e.g., Federal Diploma in Finance and Accounting) is an advantage.

- Several years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in machinery manufacturing or a similar industrial environment.

- Experience with industrial ERP systems and understanding of production and inventory processes.


Professional Skills

- Strong knowledge of accounting and tax regulations.

- Confident handling of financial closings and accounting issues.

- Good Excel knowledge and experience with ERP systems.

- Understanding of cost accounting, production processes, and project-related accounting.

- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of cross-functional collaboration.

- Ability to question processes and drive improvements.

- Native Italian and good English skills.


Salary

from 40.000 to 70.000 euro / annual
