We are currently reinforcing our team within the Automation Steel Making department . Location: Buttrio (UD), Italy

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the design and testing of Level 1 software for machinery and process control in metalworking plants, ensuring compliance with company standards and contractual requirements in terms of functionality and performance.
  • Developing software applications for PLC and HMI , starting from standard solutions or similar projects and customizing them to meet specific plant requirements
  • Drafting functional specifications for machinery and plant processes
  • Preparing technical documentation and defining interfaces with third-party automation systems
  • Programming PLC and HMI software using development tools
  • Creating operator manuals
  • Testing the project through integrated simulation , verifying compliance with required functionalities and performance
  • Commissioning the project on-site

Qualifications

  • A degree in technical disciplines such as electronic, electrical, computer engineering , or automatic control systems
  • Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures for solving computational problems
  • Ability to read and interpret industrial engineering documentation (e.g., electrical schematics, network diagrams, P&ID, process flow diagrams)
  • Preferred experience in hardware/software design for industrial automation systems, especially those based on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
  • Familiarity with Siemens S7/TIA Portal and/or Rockwell Studio 5000 environments
  • Experience with Siemens S7-1500 and Rockwell Controllogix PLC architectures
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems , such as Wonderware Intouch and/or Siemens WinCC
