Incoming Quality Control Engineer and Process Controls
Join the team at Cespira, a joint venture between Volvo Group and Westport Fuel Systems, dedicated to advancing sustainable transportation solutions. Cespira is developing and commercializing High‑Pressure Direct Injection (HPDI) technology for heavy‑duty engines, supporting the use of hydrogen and renewable fuels to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Job Description
Support the verification, measurement, and inspection of incoming products to ensure they meet purchase order and Control Plan requirements. Additionally, manage process controls on the manufacturing line.
Job Requirements
- 2‑3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office.
- Reading technical drawings and setting CMM.
- Experience in measurement system analysis.
- Experience with measurement tooling.
- Fluency in Italian, written and spoken.
- B1 level in English, written and spoken.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to write technical documents.

Bonus Qualifications
- Automotive manufacturing experience, especially with an automotive OEM or supplier.
- Experience with IATF certifications.
- Mechanical engineering or a similar degree.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct Incoming Quality Control based on the Control Plan.
- Maintain calibration of measurement tools at IQC and on the lines.
- Conduct layered process audits on incoming goods, assembly lines, and finished products.
- Scrap analysis and root‑cause definition.
- Maintain the software tool for IQC.
- Coordinate with SQE for non‑conformances.
- Support shift leaders for material issues detected on the lines.
- Assist in preparation and during IATF audits.
- Measure IQC and component scrap KPI (defined by the Plant Quality Manager) and implement corrective actions.
- Continuous improvement at the IQC and on manufacturing lines.
