Prysmian is a **global cabling solutions provider** leading the **energy transition** and **digital transformation.****Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:**We are looking for a IMR Installation Engineer to join our office in HQ MilanReporting directly to the IMR Installation Manager.The primary responsibility of this role is the global management of IMR (Inspection, Maintenance & Repair) operations, covering both contractual service-level agreement (SLA) activities and reactive maintenance interventions, during and after warranty periods.**You will enjoy:*** **Repair Methodology Development:** Lead the preparation of Method Statements and Technical Procedures for subsea cable repair operations, including fault localization, de‐burial, cable recovery, and re‐lay activities.* **Global IMR Operations:** Coordinate and support IMR projects worldwide, ensuring repair methodologies and documentation are tailored to local technical, environmental, and regulatory requirements.* **Technical Stakeholder Interface:** Serve as the main technical point of contact for international clients, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, providing clarity on scope of work and IMR documentation.* **Subcontractor & Supplier Management:** Prepare Requests for Quotation (RfQs) for key repair services (e.g. vessels, cable protection, seabed preparation) and perform technical reviews and evaluations of subcontractor offers.* **Operational Planning & Execution:** Prepare and review technical documentation related to: + Cable repair campaigns, including recovery, offshore splicing/jointing, and re‐lay operations. + Post‐repair cable protection activities such as jetting, mechanical trenching, and rock placement. + Vessel mobilization plans and deck layouts for specialized repair and jointing equipment.* **Safety & Quality Compliance:** Ensure all technical solutions and offshore operations comply with the highest international HSE and quality standards.This role offers a high level of operational variety, with exposure to a broad range of IMR activities across different regions and projects, ensuring a dynamic environment. It comes with strong visibility at company level, as the position supports business‐critical operations and involves regular interaction with senior stakeholders, directly contributing to strategic service outcomes. In addition, as part of a newly established IMR group within the Installation Department, this role provides a unique opportunity to actively participate in structuring, developing, and growing a new team and shaping its ways of working.**You are the right fit if you have/are:*** Degree in Engineering Mechanical, Civil, Marine, or equivalent.* Up to 5 years of experience as Submarine Cable Installation Project Engineer/Lead Engineer.* Background as an Offshore Installation Engineer. Specific experience in Subsea Cable Repair is highly desirable.
