We are seeking a dynamic, outgoing, and enthusiastic Maître with a strong Food and Beverage background to join our passionate team at Thompson Hotel Rome.
The II Maître will be responsible for Restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service and meaningful experiences for guests.
The role involves handling guest and employee inquiries courteously and efficiently, and reporting problems with prompt follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
Outlet Operations Management
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the assigned outlet, ensuring service consistency and guest satisfaction.
- Handles guest and employee inquiries courteously and efficiently, escalating issues only when necessary and ensuring prompt follow-up.
- Maximizes team productivity through effective scheduling, multi-skilling, and motivation.
- Aligns operations with Hyatt’s brand standards and corporate strategy.
- Collaborates closely with kitchen, events, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Financial & Quality Control
- Monitors and controls food and labor costs to achieve or exceed budget targets.
- Supports inventory management, cost audits, and system controls to drive profitability.
- Ensures the team maintains high standards of grooming, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Stays updated on market trends and competitor offerings.
People & Talent Development
- Acts as a strong leader, training, and developing the team.
- Delivers ongoing training and coaching on service excellence and product knowledge.
- Supports the creation of a supportive, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of solid experience as an Outlet Manager or similar supervisory role in a large 5-star luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
- Skills: Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Business Acumen: Proven track record of working with timelines and targets in a high-demand business environment.
- Education: Diploma in Hospitality or other relevant fields is preferred.
- Language: Eloquent in English communication (written and spoken), Advanced English level (B2+). Highly conscientious and diligent.
