We are seeking a ICT Project Manager for our Milan office.
The ICT Project Manager is responsible for the complete management of complex technology projects, ensuring effective planning, technical coordination, resource management and communication with stakeholders. The role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the agreed quality standards, in line with the organisation's strategic objectives.
Main Activities
- Project Planning
- Define the scope of the project, objectives, deliverables and roadmap.
- Develop detailed project plans, including activities, milestones, effort estimates and budgets.
- Coordinate kick‑off and planning activities with internal and external teams.
- Technical Oversight
- Monitor the technical aspects of the project, ensuring consistency with company architectural and technological standards.
- Collaborate with technical teams to define solutions.
- Validate technical analyses, designs, test plans and technological deliverables.
- Capacity Management
- Plan and manage the necessary resources, ensuring adequate coverage of skills.
- Monitor team workloads, availability, and performance.
- Collaborate with department managers to define requirements.
- Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on objectives, progress, and critical issues.
- Conduct meetings, steering committee meetings, and periodic communication activities.
- Facilitate collaboration between business, IT, and vendors.
- Risk & Quality Management
- Identify risks, dependencies and problems in a timely manner, defining effective mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with project quality standards and company policies.
- Monitor project KPIs and take corrective action when necessary.
- Delivery & Closure
- Supervise the delivery, testing, go-live and handover phases to the operations teams.
- Coordinate project closure activities, lessons learned and final reporting.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with contractual requirements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (7+ years) in managing complex ICT projects.
- Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies (traditional and agile).
- PMP certification (Project Management Professional).
- Skills in infrastructure, applications and systems integration.
- Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary, multicultural and multi‑supplier teams.
- Knowledge of PM tools (MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to work in complex and structured environments.
- Independent management of priorities and deadlines.
