Overview

Ably Resources is supporting a major international energy project with the appointment of an experienced I&C Engineer to join its team in Milan, Italy.

This is a key engineering role supporting instrumentation and control scope across a complex offshore development. The successful candidate will be involved in technical review, multidisciplinary coordination, vendor package assessment, installation support, testing and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing instrumentation and control engineering deliverables and technical documentation
  • Supporting field instrumentation, control systems and wider automation scope
  • Coordinating interfaces with electrical, process, telecoms and other engineering disciplines
  • Reviewing vendor packages, specifications and technical submissions
  • Supporting installation, testing, system integration and commissioning activities
  • Working with contractors, vendors and project stakeholders to maintain technical quality and delivery alignment

Candidate profile

  • Degree-qualified in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical, Electronic or related Engineering discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in I&C engineering within oil & gas, offshore, EPC or major industrial projects
  • Strong experience across instrumentation, controls and automation systems
  • Experience reviewing engineering deliverables, technical specifications and vendor documentation
  • FAT/SAT, testing and commissioning exposure is desirable
  • Fluent written and spoken English

The role is based in Milan and offers the opportunity to join a major long-term energy development.
