The opportunity
The candidate will ensure the local service units (LSUs) have the right materials, products, and services at the right time, in the right quantity, at the optimal cost - while maintaining quality and minimizing risk in order to secure business continuity and safeguard business goals.
How you’ll make an impact
Sourcing strategy: implement sourcing strategy in Hub Service Europe, in collaboration global BU Service with aiming to: secure business continuity and competitiveness; implement proper forecasting strategy; secure business Growth ambition
Parts and components: ensure availability of critical spare parts to support Customers and Service operations. Work closely with internal and external Suppliers in order to secure component and parts availability and competitiveness. Collaborate closely with Service Operations, Field Service, and Local CSOs to anticipate spikes, campaigns, and preventive maintenance needs
Forecast: implement structured forecast plan across European Service units as a key factor for securing timely deliveries and eventually supplier’s capacity allocation. Keep regular contact with key external and internal suppliers in order to reinforce alignment and get the right priority in deliveries
Supplier Agreements: Ensure appropriate supplier selection. In collaboration and alignment with BU Service, define and establish sourcing agreements with main suppliers. Provide and maintain standard terms and conditions according to Hitachi Energy policy and guidelines.
Process monitoring: Monitor the procurement and logistic processes. Proactively works to resolve issues related to supplies quality, lead time and on-time delivery. In collaboration with global Service BU, define and follow relevant performance KPIs, including lead time and supplier on-time delivery.
Heavy Lift: make sure all European Service units follow the established Hitachi Energy Heavy Lift defined procedures; strict use of Hitachi Energy Qualified suppliers only; proper insurance notification (RCN) for every heavy lift transport
Procedures and SCM processes: ensure all European Service units have implemented and follow the established supply management procedures. Take the lead together with the Hub Quality Team at correcting deviations from internal and external audits.
Supplier Quality: Monitor Suppliers’ Quality. In collaboration with BU and Hub Quality Teams, make sure Suppliers comply with the Hitachi Energy quality standards, and deliver the materials and components on time and with the right quality. When needed, lead Quality Audits to relevant Suppliers. Take the lead at significant Hub Suppliers’ issues, like deteriorating on-time delivery or poor component Quality.
People development: In coordination with the HR Team, ensures the SCM area of responsibility is staffed, organized, skilled and properly directed. Guides, motivates and develops the SCM Teams across all Hub units, driving and managing the SCM talent pool. Make sure all European Service units have development and succession plans for the SCM Team members.
Your background
Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in operational or Supply Management roles in Industry segments Strong understanding of change management methodologies and best practices
Strong understanding on how current global supply chains work in Industry and Services
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and persuade diverse stakeholders at all levels
Demonstrated competence in influencing and motivating teams to adopt new processes, reduce resistance and achieve successful transitions to globally harmonized practices.
People-oriented, team spirit
Fluency in English (both written and oral)
Willingness to travel (30 – 40%)
