For our own projects, we are looking for: CONSTRUCTION HSE SUPERVISOR / ENGINEER
MISSION:
The Construction HSE Supervisor / Engineer will be responsible for supervising and ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations during construction activities at the Sannazzaro Refinery.
The role requires a professional with solid refinery experience, capable of independently monitoring site activities, enforcing refinery safety standards, and ensuring strict adherence to the project within an operational oil & gas environment.
TASKS:
- Supervise daily construction activities ensuring compliance with refinery HSE procedures and Italian regulations.
- Monitor and enforce Permit to Work (PTW) systems including hot work, confined space entry, SIMOPS, and isolation procedures.
- Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits, and safety walks across site areas.
- Verify contractor compliance with company HSE standards and refinery-specific requirements.
- Review risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and method statements prior to work execution.
- Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis processes.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions to site personnel.
- Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely close-out of non-conformities.
- Prepare and submit HSE reports to site management as required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, HSE, or related discipline.
- Valid NEBOSH or equivalent HSE certification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction HSE roles within oil & gas or refinery projects.
- Strong knowledge of refinery construction safety standards and Italian HSE legislation.
- Ability to work autonomously on site within a live refinery environment.
- Proficiency in Italian and English
