Our Client is an international group producing systems and components for the automotive sector. To strengthen the staff in the Safety, Health and Environment/Energy Management department, it has entrusted us with the selection of the

HSE Manager

The resource will serve as the Health and Safety Manager for the Group's Italian plants, ensuring the maintenance of the integrated safety and environmental management system and managing energy supply contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess risks within the company, keeping Risk Assessment Documents updated, including any organizational changes and periodic deadlines for specific assessments.
  • Understand the legal requirements applicable to the Group regarding workplace safety and environmental management and collaborate to meet them.
  • Propose and develop business improvements that reduce/maintain zero accidents and environmental impacts.
  • Coordinate activities related to managing customer requests regarding sustainability, conflict minerals, REACH, etc.
  • Develop safety and environmental procedures for various company activities, keeping the Group's Safety and Environmental Management System and HSE indices (accident frequency and severity rates, carbon footprint, GRI standards) up to date.
  • Coordinate with the Company Physician to ensure compliance with the health protocol.
  • Manage mandatory safety training deadlines and coordinate with HR to plan Group training plans.
  • Supervise electricity and gas supply contracts and monitor monthly plant consumption.
  • Prepare the annual energy cost budget for the various plants and verify any deviations in dedicated meetings on a monthly basis.

Requirements

  • Degree in a technical or scientific discipline, preferably engineering or equivalent.
  • Solid experience as a Health and Safety Manager in large companies, preferably in the automotive or complex industrial sectors.
  • RSPP certification in accordance with Legislative Decree 81/08 (Modules A, B, and C)
  • In-depth knowledge of workplace safety and environmental management regulations.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and interfunctional coordination.
  • Knowledge of auditing and certification procedures (ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
  • Proven leadership and teamwork orientation.
  • Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken).
  • Availability to travel to group plants, including international ones.
  • Ability to manage complex and stressful situations, leadership and ability to influence organizational behavior, strategic vision combined with operational skills, strong results-oriented and problem-solving attitude, interpersonal and communication skills complete the profile
