Role purpose:

Independent ownership of the full HR function in an Italian NPL / financial services company. The role covers payroll and labor law compliance, recruitment (including agency-to-inhouse models), onboarding, employee relations, disciplinary processes and internal communication. The position is hands-on, single-person HR, supported by external payroll providers and legal advisors.


Key responsibilities:

• Full supervision of payroll and HR administration in cooperation with an external payroll provider

• Ensuring compliance with Italian labor law (contracts, amendments, transfers)

• End-to-end recruitment management, including cooperation with temporary work agencies

• Ownership of the agency-to-internal employment transition process, including performance evaluation and decision making

• Design and implementation of effective onboarding processes

• Developing polices of correct remuneration and bonuses

• Handling disciplinary procedures and employment terminations

• Acting as HR Business Partner for managers

• Ownership of internal communication within the company

• Cooperation and reporting to HQ in English


Requirements:

• 5 – 7+ years of experience in HR, preferably in financial services, call center or regulated environments

• Strong, practical knowledge of Italian labor law

• Experience in working with payroll providers, legal advisors and recruitment agencies

• Ability to independently manage the HR function

• Experience in internal communication is a strong asset

• Experience in a matrix environment with cross‑functional responsibilities

• English at working proficiency level (min. B2)

• Pragmatic, structured and business-oriented mindset
