Position reports to: Global People Operations Lead

Your role and responsibilities

As our organization becomes an independent company and undergoes a major digital transformation, we are looking for a tech‑savvy HR Generalist to join our Italian HR team based at Sesto San Giovanni. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between traditional HR operations and our future‑state HR model. You will be at the heart of leveraging our core platforms such as Workday, Cornerstone, and ServiceNow , ensuring that our HR Administration, Payroll, and Learning processes remain seamless and compliant during this evolution.

Work model for the role is: Hybrid.

  • Payroll & HR Administration
  • Vendor Management: Act as the primary liaison with our external payroll provider, ensuring monthly inputs are accurate and deadlines are met.
  • Compliance: Manage the full employee lifecycle (onboarding to off‑boarding) in strict accordance with Italian labor laws and National Collective Bargaining Agreements (CCNL).
  • Documentation: Handle mandatory communications to authorities (e.g., Unilav) and maintain digital personnel files.
  • Legge 68/1999: Ensure compliance with obligations related to targeted placement (collocamento mirato) and management of reserved quotas required under Italian Law 68/1999, based on company size. Collaborate with Public Employment Centers (Centri per l’Impiego) for nominative or numerical hiring processes and targeted placement procedure.
  • Learning Administration & Government Funding
  • Funding Management: Lead the end‑to‑step administration of government‑funded training programs (e.g., Fondi Interprofessionali like Fondimpresa/Forte).
  • Training activities: Provide administrative support to employee learning and training activities, together with local HR Business Partner, including scheduling courses, tracking attendance, and managing training documentation.
  • Reporting: Rigorously track and record learning hours and expenses, ensuring all data is uploaded correctly to government portals.
  • Audit Readiness: Act as the lead point of contact for internal and external audits regarding L&D funding, ensuring 100% compliance with evidentiary requirements.
  • Digital Transformation & Systems
  • Serve as a key user and local subject‑matter expert for core platforms such as Workday (Core HR), Cornerstone (L&D), and ServiceNow (HR Service Delivery).
  • Ensure data integrity during migration and maintain high standards of digital record‑keeping.
  • Adopt and promote new digital workflows to improve the employee experience.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure proper archiving of all data employees and records.

Qualifications for the role

  • 3–5 years in an HR Generalist or HR Admin role within the Italian market.
  • High proficiency in HRIS; experience with Workday, Cornerstone, or ServiceNow is a massive plus.
  • Proven track record in managing funded training and navigating government portals.
  • Strong understanding of Italian payroll variables and experience managing outsourced vendors.
  • Native‑level Italian and professional fluency in English.
  • Change‑oriented, analytical, and comfortable in a fast‑paced “transformation” environment.
