We are looking for a motivated HR Generalist / HR Business Partner (depending on the level) to join our team in Milan, supporting JOST Italia and our subsidiary in Turin. In this part-time role (60% FTE), you will play a key role in delivering day-to-day HR operations while supporting managers and employees across a wide range of HR topics.

Working as part of our international HR community, you will collaborate with colleagues in Italy and across Europe, ensuring smooth HR processes and a positive employee experience. This position is ideal for someone hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to further develop their HR career in an international environment.


Occasional travel is required for meetings, training, or company events.


Key Responsibilities


HR Operations & Employee Support

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees on HR-related questions and administrative matters.
  • Support managers and employees with day-to-day HR topics, escalating more complex issues when needed.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding and offboarding.
  • Prepare employment contracts, amendments, and standard HR documentation in line with Italian labor law.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems.


Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate recruitment activities together with hiring managers and the global talent acquisition team.
  • Support interview scheduling, candidate communication, and offer preparation.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.


Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Liaise with external payroll providers to support accurate monthly payroll processing.
  • Collect and validate payroll input data (attendance, absences, variable elements).
  • Administer employee benefits (meal vouchers, health insurance, pension schemes).
  • Track working hours, absences, and leave in coordination with line managers.


Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure HR processes comply with Italian labor law and internal policies.
  • Support audits by preparing required documentation.
  • Prepare regular HR reports (headcount, absences, turnover) for local and Group HR.


HR Projects & Business Support

  • Support the implementation of Group HR policies and initiatives at local level.
  • Assist managers with basic HR topics such as performance management and employee relations.
  • Contribute to employee engagement and internal communication activities.
  • Support health & safety coordination (D.Lgs. 81/08) together with external partners.



Role Requirements

  • Degree in HR, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or HRBP role, ideally in an international environment.
  • Knowledge of Italian labor law and HR processes.
  • Experience supporting payroll processes or working with external providers is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and service-oriented mindset.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; HRIS experience is an advantage.
  • Fluency in Italian and good command of English.
