Job Description

As a Senior Strategist within the EVERSANA INTOUCH Health Innovation team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing global digital health go-to-market (GTM) and commercialization strategies for our life sciences clients and ecosystem partners. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and report directly to the Senior Vice President of Health Innovation, working at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and real-world execution.

In this client-facing role, you will help shape the future of digitally enhanced healthcare, supporting the design, positioning, and scaling of innovations including digital therapeutics, digital companions, connected care and telemedicine solutions, AI-driven tools, XR applications, and combination products that integrate with pharmaceutical or medical device treatments.

You will be responsible for leading or supporting strategic projects across the full innovation lifecycle—from early-stage ideation and value proposition design to launch strategy, market access, and global deployment. The role requires a solid understanding of how digital health innovations are evaluated, launched, and adopted within pharma and medtech environments in Europe, and the ability to translate this into actionable, business-oriented strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP & INNOVATION

  • Define and implement global go-to-market (GTM) and business model strategies for digital health assets—including, but not limited to, digital companions, digital medical devices, DTx, data platforms, and AI-driven tools.
  • Operate at the intersection of pharmaceutical commercialization and digital innovation, guiding clients and internal teams to unlock scalable value.
  • Lead or support projects across the full lifecycle of innovation: from ideation and opportunity scoping to GTM planning, regulatory approval, market access, and launch execution.
  • Grow and develop clients.

DIGITAL HEALTH GTM & COMMERCIALIZATION

  • Develop tailored commercialization and market launch strategies for digital health solutions globally and, especially in Europe, ensuring alignment with client brand, access, patient advocacy, medical, and portfolio priorities.
  • Translate regulatory requirements, user needs, and clinical evidence and market requirements into actionable roadmaps for commercialization.
  • Support Regulatory and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions, reimbursement dossiers, and digital health procurement applications in collaboration with clients.
  • Bridge digital strategy with agency of record (AOR) operations, ensuring integration into broader brand planning, omnichannel campaigns, and field enablement efforts.

MARKET & LANDSCAPE INSIGHTS

  • Conduct robust market analysis, competitive landscaping, care pathway assessments, and technology scouting to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Leverage both qualitative and quantitative data to generate business insights and innovation strategies.
  • Stay informed on evolving regulatory and market trends to ensure compliant, forward-looking strategy development.

CLIENT LEADERSHIP & ENGAGEMENT

  • Act as a strategic partner to global and regional pharma and medtech clients, with a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical launch process and stakeholder dynamics.
  • Lead or co-lead client engagements, including strategic workshops, advisory boards, and innovation co-design sessions.
  • Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners.

PROJECT & TEAM LEADERSHIP

  • Lead or support cross-functional delivery teams from planning to implementation, collaborating with and where appropriate coordinating internal resources across agency, data, technology, and regulatory functions.
  • Provide mentorship to junior strategists and contribute to building internal capabilities and delivery excellence. Collaborate effectively with senior leadership and support strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including proposals, pitches, client support and thought leadership.

COMMUNICATION & DELIVERABLES

  • Develop high-quality strategy presentations, business plans, and narrative deliverables in English (and optionally in Italian).
  • Communicate complex concepts with clarity and impact to diverse audiences including clients, KOLs, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support development of articles, policy summaries, or dissemination plans where needed.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

  • Operate effectively within EVERSANA’s matrix structure, aligning strategy execution across teams and service lines.
  • Connect the Health Innovation team with EVERSANA’s broader capabilities—spanning commercial, medical, data, regulatory, and agency services—to drive integration and value.

INCLUSION, INTEGRITY, AND GROWTH

  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through inclusive leadership, collaboration, and continuous personal development.
  • Act with accountability and integrity, embracing our cultural values in all engagements.
Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated experience defining and implementing go-to-market (GTM) and commercialization strategies for digital health assets (e.g., digital therapeutics, digital companions, AI-driven platforms, hybrid drug-device combinations).
  • Proven ability to act as a strategic partner to pharmaceutical and health innovation clients, aligning digital initiatives with brand, medical, access, and portfolio objectives.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization models, product lifecycle management, and launch planning across global and local contexts.
  • Experience leading client-facing strategy engagements and managing cross-functional delivery teams from planning through execution.
  • Ability to translate clinical evidence, regulatory and policy requirements, and user needs into actionable strategic roadmaps.
  • Ability to draft business and launch plans, implement commercialization roadmaps, review supporting evidence, and contribute to regulatory submissions, Health Technology Assessment (HTA) dossiers, reimbursement applications, and digital health procurement processes in collaboration with clients.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written), and preferably also in Italy, with excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to effectively engage and collaborate with healthcare stakeholders, including KOLs, clinicians, patient associations, and internal subject matter experts.
  • Skilled in preparing strategic narratives, business plans, and high-quality presentations in PowerPoint and narrative formats.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and creativity—able to work independently and drive outcomes in complex, dynamic environments.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a corporate, matrixed environment, managing multiple priorities with accountability and integrity.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as:
    • Advanced degree in Medicine, Public Health, Health Economics, Healthcare Management or related fields (e.g., MD, MPH, or MSc)
  • +5/7 years of experience in pharmaceutical, medtech, or digital health sectors—preferably in strategy, commercial operations, innovation, or launch excellence roles.
  • Proven experience working with or within life sciences companies on GTM strategies for digital innovations, medical devices, or connected care platforms.
  • Strong grasp of European healthcare systems, market access pathways, and digital health policy trends.
  • Familiarity with value demonstration, health economics, or evidence generation strategies is a plus.
  • Experience collaborating with agency, data, technology, and AI teams to develop and implement integrated solutions.
  • Hands-on approach, with the ability to operate across both strategic design and implementation.
  • Experience authoring publications, white papers, or policy briefs is valued.
