About the Role
We are urgently seeking for a Head Pizzaiolo to join our vibrant team in Dubai !
Responsibilities
- Carry out instructions received by the Executive Chef.
- Assists Executive Chef in inspecting all pizza are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
- Inspects products quality during and after preparation, and adjusts as required.
- Understand about organic flour and dough, slow fermentation and maturing.
- Help build, train and lead the future pizzaiolo team (and shifts) in a positive and proactive manner to build the team and culture ready and rearing for our future growth, impact and challenges together.
- Meets customer requirements in terms of special requests and dietary needs.
- Collaborates with Executive Chef to create specials for the pizza menu.
- Collaborates with Executive Chef regarding special requirements, VIPs, functions, etc.
- Ensures the proper appearance (condition of uniforms) and grooming of all kitchen staff.
- Monitors daily attendance of your section.
- Constantly develop skills and knowledge.
- Suggest recipes to renew the menu and draw in more clients.
- Check all the kitchen equipment and tools before utilizing and maintain a cooking station neat and clean.
Qualifications
- Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in kitchen, in similar position.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of Italian Cuisine.
- Good English.
- Knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, Sanitation, and Personal Hygiene basics.
- Ability to maintain high quality control standards.
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
- Knowledge of maintenance and care of culinary facilities, equipment, supplies, and materials.
- Ability to supervise and direct cooks.
- Handles multiple priorities and ability to work under pressure and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly cooperative team spirit.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized.
