Overview

In this role, you will take global responsibility for all Treasury matters of ABB Robotics, supporting the company’s separation and future as an independent entity. You will build and lead a dedicated Treasury team, establish lean and fit-for-purpose processes, and ensure effective financial and insurance risk management. You will manage liquidity, funding, capital structure, and banking relations to secure long-term financial sustainability. Reporting to the CFO, you will be a key member of the CFO Leadership Team. The preferred location is Switzerland (other European locations possible); some travel may be required. The work model for the role is hybrid.

This position reports to the Business Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Treasury Strategy & Team Leadership: Build a dedicated Treasury team and develop a global operating model with best-practice processes.
  • Policies, Systems & Controls: Implement fit-for-purpose Treasury policies, infrastructure, and internal controls to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Capital Structure & Funding: Manage liquidity, payment operations, cash pooling, trade finance, and banking relationships; oversee capital structure, financing, and debt investor relations to support standalone operations.
  • Risk & Insurance Management: Establish and oversee financial risk management (e.g., FX) and global insurance programs.
  • Separation & Stakeholder Collaboration: Represent Treasury in the carve-out project, ensuring smooth separation, while working closely with business leaders and finance teams across ABB Robotics and ABB Group.

Qualifications

  • University degree with additional professional qualifications; deep knowledge of financial products, markets, derivatives, and export finance instruments.
  • 10+ years of treasury experience in global companies with strong expertise in funding, liquidity management, cash pooling, risk management, and trade finance.
  • Proven track record in project and people management, delivering results under tight deadlines in international environments; spin-off experience is a plus.
  • Recognized as a collaborative business partner with strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communicator, able to simplify complex topics for non-experts including C-level; fluent in English.
