Overview
We are looking for a Head of Tech to join our leadership team and drive the next phase of our technical evolution. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role responsible for scaling our engineering team, shaping the technical vision, and ensuring execution excellence across backend, frontend, data, machine learning, QA, and DevOps.

What You’ll Do
- Define and evolve our technical strategy and architecture in line with business and product priorities.
- Lead and grow a cross-functional engineering team, including backend / frontend engineers, ML and data engineers, QA, and DevOps.
- Partner with product and design to ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable delivery of customer-facing features.
- Drive technical excellence and engineering best practices across the team (CI / CD, testing, code quality, reliability, observability).
- Own technical hiring, performance management, and team structure in collaboration with People and Product.
- Coach and mentor senior engineers, helping them grow into leadership roles.
- Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Foster a strong, inclusive, and feedback-oriented engineering culture.
- Identify and lead initiatives that improve team velocity, scalability, and system resilience.
- Promote Vita Health Culture of uncompromising excellence, transparency, results for customers, collaboration and iteration.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role (e.g. Engineering Manager, Head of Engineering, or Tech Lead Manager).
- Strong background in software engineering, with experience building and scaling distributed systems, data pipelines, and production-grade applications.
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams, including ML, data, QA, and DevOps profiles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence across functions.
- Track record of growing teams and mentoring senior individual contributors and leads.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset : you can zoom out to see the big picture but are not afraid to dive into details when needed.
- Familiarity with modern development practices (agile, CI / CD, cloud-native infrastructure, automated testing).
- Passion for building teams, systems, and processes that scale.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in product-led, fast-growing environments (startup / scale-up).
- Exposure to B2C / B2B health, wellness, or education tech.
- Understanding of privacy, security, or compliance in tech-heavy domains.

Recruiting Process

- Cultural &Leadership Interview : we\’ll explore your leadership philosophy, how you manage and grow teams, how you deal with conflict and ambiguity, and how you align tech execution with company goals. We\u2019re looking for alignment in mindset, not just skills.
- Final Interview with our CEO : strategic conversation to align on company vision, values, leadership expectations, and your potential long-term role in shaping our future.
