VP, Strategic Finance, Fanatics Italy

JOB SUMMARY : Executive responsible for Financial Performance Management (Long Term Financial Planning, Budgeting Forecast Accuracy, Gross Margin management, SG&A management, inventory efficiencies, Capex) for Fanatics Italy (part of Fanatics International). Part of the Executive Team reporting to the Fanatics Italy CEO.

• GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure accuracy and credibility of reporting and forecasts provided by the Finance group.
• Lead the budget preparation process by partnering with department leaders to gather accurate data. Drive accountability for budget accuracy.
• Establish profitability goals with the executive team and drive the company to achieve these goals.
• Understand the company's vision and build and execute a financial plan aligned with that vision.
• Mitigate financial risks and maximize opportunities for the company.
• Oversee and execute strategic mergers and acquisitions.
• Provide high-level financial analysis to influence business decisions.
• Develop and utilize financial models for analyzing trends and variances.
• Collaborate with Fanatics International Finance Team on reporting and strategic initiatives.

• EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent; continuous education is required due to changing tax regulations.

• GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Previous experience in eCommerce / Retail, preferably in the apparel industry.
• 15+ years of experience in a financial management capacity.
• Fluency in Italian and English.
• Strong management, organizational, team building, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Strong business acumen, industry knowledge, financial planning skills, long-term vision, and executive presence.
• Expert negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all management levels.
• Proficiency in productivity, planning, workload management, decision-making, and problem-solving.
• Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management, employees, clients, and external partners.

• Finance Executive
• Responsible for directing and controlling the Strategic Finance activities of Fanatics Italy, including planning, staffing, budgeting, expense management, and strategic initiatives. Participates with senior management in establishing strategic plans and handles complex issues requiring in-depth industry and business knowledge. Interacts regularly with executives and major clients, often involving negotiations or influencing senior leaders. Typically requires over 15 years of experience in strategic finance.
