As Head of Southern Europe, you will lead client coverage and sales execution to grow our Southern European business within State Street Investment Management. You will manage cross‑functional teams, shape the sales strategy, and drive collaboration with Institutional Services and Global Markets to deliver One State Street solutions. You will champion governance, compliance, and a fiduciary mindset while strengthening relationships with institutional clients across Southern Europe. This role offers impact at scale, shaping client strategies and accelerating growth in a regulated, global firm.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute Europe sales strategy to meet financial targets across Southern Europe client channels.
- Manage sales and relationship resources, set cross‑team goals, and drive results.
- Expand the sales footprint to boost collaboration and contribution to sales results.
- Identify opportunities in new markets/segments in Southern Europe and coordinate with the Sales strategy team.
- Deliver differentiated investor solutions leveraging SSIM leadership position.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders for efficient, high‑quality client interactions.
- Provide first‑line leadership on client engagement issues.
- Collaborate with Client Coverage Strategy and Operations to ensure adequate client/sales/relationship support infrastructure.
- Uphold governance and regulatory compliance and maintain a robust control environment.
- Lead cross‑division collaboration to promote the franchise and deliver integrated client solutions.
- Foster culture, fiduciary mindset, and improved employee experience; encourage speaking up and group accountability.
- Promote continuous improvement across the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of experience selling to and/or servicing institutions.
- 7+ years of meaningful sales leadership experience with success in growth targets.
- Experience in an Investment Management organization with knowledge of sales management practices.
- Experience handling institutional and intermediaries business in Southern Europe.
- Track record of building complex client solutions across multi‑asset strategies.
