Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales to lead our regional sales teams across Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East for our Digital Solutions business in the maritime industry . Reporting to the Global Head of Sales & Operations, this role combines commercial leadership with strategic foresight, particularly in leveraging AI-driven technologies to transform maritime operations. The position will be based in Europe.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with global objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth and customer acquisition across the regions.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Directly responsible for customer acquisition, customer retention and revenue growth in allocated countries.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5-6 regional sales managers.
  • Set clear performance goals and foster a culture of team spirit, accountability and excellence.
  • Support team members in complex negotiations and high-value deals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key maritime clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
  • Promote and sell Accelleron's product portfolio to the customers, positioning Accelleron as Decarbonization experts.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to the Global Head of Sales.
  • Work in conjunction with Operations, Product and Customer Success teams to ensure optimal experience for clients.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant sales experience, of which at least 5 years within the maritime industry.
  • Proven track record in managing sales teams and delivering results.
  • Strong understanding of digital solutions and their application in maritime operations, especially vessel and voyage optimization.
  • Affinity for technology combined with good business acumen.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work across cultures and time zones.
  • Existing contacts and relationships with vessel owners/operators/charterers.
  • Knowledge of Charter Party agreements and vessel performance claims an asset.
  • Excellent communicator. Must be fluent in English, written and verbal. Fluency in other languages would be an asset.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
