Overview

For a leading multinational company in the Industrial Chemicals Industry, we are seeking a Head of Quality & Compliance to drive the cultural and operational transformation of a manufacturing site undergoing significant growth and change.

This position represents a unique opportunity to redefine the role of Quality as a strategic enabler for operational excellence, empowering people and fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.

As a member of the Site Leadership Team , the role acts as a business partner to the Site Director and a key interface across functions on all Quality, Compliance, and Risk Management topics.

Key Responsibilities

Vision and Leadership

• Define and execute the site’s Quality and Compliance strategy in alignment with global standards and regulatory requirements.
• Inspire and develop the Quality team, fostering ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Lead and support change initiatives, promoting a modern, digital, and learning-oriented work environment.
• Provide risk-based insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.

Quality Systems and Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with international standards and regulations (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, REACH).
• Maintain an effective Quality Management System (QMS) and guarantee constant audit readiness.
• Oversee internal audits, customer inspections, and regulatory authority visits.
• Manage key quality processes such as product release, deviations, change control, and CAPA using digital platforms (Veeva, SAP, Optiva).

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Promote automation and digitalization within Quality Control and production processes.
• Strengthen Risk Management methodologies and root cause analysis to enhance operational reliability.
• Partner closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D, and Engineering to integrate Quality principles across all operations.
• Lead cross-functional improvement projects focused on simplification, efficiency, and customer value creation.

Ideal Candidate

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines (Industrial Chemistry preferred).
• 8–10 years of experience in Quality roles within manufacturing or consumer goods environments, including at least 3 years in site leadership positions.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, and product compliance frameworks.
• Experience managing QMS, audits, and risk-based processes.
• Proficiency with ERP/Quality systems (Veeva, SAP, Optiva/PLM, MES) and data analytics tools (Minitab, JMP).
• Fluent in English and Italian.
