Why This Role is Right for You

As Head of Product – Smart POS, you will own the product strategy and roadmap for Android-based smart POS terminals across a large European multi-market acquirer. You will lead the Group Strategic Hardware function and collaborate closely with the Italian country-level teams.

About Your Future Role

• Smart POS product strategy and multi-year roadmap across group markets
• Android terminal portfolio – device selection, software/app ecosystem, lifecycle management
• Alignment with Group Strategic Hardware on vendor and platform decisions
• Cross-country coordination – balancing group standardisation with local market needs
• Commercial ownership – pricing, business cases, go-to-market
• OEM and vendor relationships
• Awareness of certification and compliance landscape (PCI, EMV)

Essential Qualifications

• Senior product leader with 10+ years in payments / merchant services
• Direct experience with POS terminals, ideally smart/Android devices
• Understands acquiring, terminal economics, and merchant needs
• Comfortable in matrixed, multi-country organisations
• Strong commercial sense — not purely technical
• European payments experience preferred
• Travel expected across markets
