Head of Procurement & Pricing -Air Freight

Reporting to the Air Freight Forwarding Business Unit , you will steer the Procurement & Pricing strategy and define the pricing policy to ensure the network’s competitiveness, profitability, and reliability. You will develop key partnerships, support sales teams in strategic offers, and oversee the economic performance of the B.U. in order to secure capacity and optimize margins.
MAIN MISSIONS
- Lead Air Freight procurement for the Southern Cluster entities and ensure competitive and reliable capacity availability.
- Negotiate space allocations and rate agreements with airlines, in line with regional strategy.
- Define and maintain the pricing strategy of the cluster to ensure market competitiveness and profitability.
- Support local sales teams through the preparation of pricing offers (tenders, spot quotations) and cost analysis.
- Work closely with Sales teams to align procurement, pricing, and customer needs in strategic proposals.
- Lead pricing contributions for tender responses , ensuring accuracy and timely submission of all data, and analyze results.
- Manage key relationships with airlines , in partnership with Gateway Management, to optimize network utilization.
- Monitor and analyze performance through KPIs (cost/kg, margin, capacity utilization, etc.), ensure regular reporting, and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Contribute to achieving the Southern Cluster’s budget objectives (OP1, TP/BO volumes, productivity).

YOUR PROFIL
- Higher education degree (Bac+4) in logistics, supply chain, international trade, or management.
- Solid experience in air transport , freight forwarding , or air capacity management .
- Proven expertise in capacity procurement , airline negotiation , and pricing strategy management .
- Excellent understanding of air market dynamics , pricing mechanisms, and profitability drivers.
- Strong analytical skills: strong command of financial and operational KPIs .
- Strong leadership, results‑oriented, and able to manage high‑impact business topics.
- Excellent communication skills, negotiation abilities, and strategic vision.
- Fluent English ; Spanish and/or Italian and/or French appreciated.
- Ability to work in a multi‑country environment and travel occasionally within Europe.
