We’re looking for a Head of Performance to lead the strategic integration and continuous optimisation of our multidisciplinary performance function, working at the heart of an elite football environment.
The challenge
You will act as the central performance integrator, aligning sports science, strength & conditioning, nutrition, and return‑to‑play to maximise player availability, physical output, and long‑term athlete development.
From first team to academy pathway, you’ll translate scientific insight into applied football practice — driving evidence‑based decisions that make a real impact on the pitch.

- A world‑class performance programme for the Men’s First Team
- Integrated frameworks for load management, injury risk reduction, and return‑to‑play
- Cross‑functional collaboration with technical and medical leadership
- Performance intelligence that supports strategic and match‑critical decision‑making
Who we’re looking for
You’ll bring a rare mix of scientific expertise, applied football experience, and leadership , including:
- At least 10 years of experience in Performance roles within professional football
- Proven delivery of elite football performance and periodisation models , including RTP and athletic development
- Advanced expertise in performance technologies (GPS, AMS, testing systems, gym programming)
- Strong capability to monitor, interpret, and prescribe load using multi‑source physiological data
- Deep knowledge of injury epidemiology, reconditioning principles, and RTP progressions in elite football
- Confidence in communicating complex performance data clearly to players, coaches, and staff
- Experience in integrating multidisciplinary teams , breaking silos and driving shared performance objectives
- Sound judgement in high‑pressure, time‑critical decisions (match‑day availability, congested schedules)
- A track record of developing staff and scaling performance structures within elite environments
- Knowledge of Italian is considered a plus
