We’re looking for a Head of Performance to lead the strategic integration and continuous optimisation of our multidisciplinary performance function, working at the heart of an elite football environment.

The challenge

You will act as the central performance integrator, aligning sports science, strength & conditioning, nutrition, and return‑to‑play to maximise player availability, physical output, and long‑term athlete development.

From first team to academy pathway, you’ll translate scientific insight into applied football practice — driving evidence‑based decisions that make a real impact on the pitch.

• A world‑class performance programme for the Men’s First Team
• Integrated frameworks for load management, injury risk reduction, and return‑to‑play
• Cross‑functional collaboration with technical and medical leadership
• Performance intelligence that supports strategic and match‑critical decision‑making

Who we’re looking for

You’ll bring a rare mix of scientific expertise, applied football experience, and leadership, including:

• At least10 years of experiencein Performance roles within professional football
• Proven delivery ofelite football performance and periodisation models, including RTP and athletic development
• Advanced expertise inperformance technologies(GPS, AMS, testing systems, gym programming)
• Strong capability tomonitor, interpret, and prescribe loadusing multi‑source physiological data
• Deep knowledge ofinjury epidemiology, reconditioning principles, and RTP progressionsin elite football
• Confidence incommunicating complex performance dataclearly to players, coaches, and staff
• Experience inintegrating multidisciplinary teams, breaking silos and driving shared performance objectives
• Sound judgement inhigh‑pressure, time‑critical decisions(match‑day availability, congested schedules)
• A track record ofdeveloping staff and scaling performance structureswithin elite environments
