The Client:

Our client is a major Italian multi-utility operating across the whole activities range in the Energy and Environmental sectors . Its business includes production, distribution, and commercialization of power and natural gas, as well as cogeneration, district heating, integrated water service management, waste collection and disposal, public lighting, and internet connectivity.

Revenues of approximately €2 billion .


Position – The role:

As part of a major transformation process , the immediate priorities include the hiring of a Head of Organization - a newly created function - who will drive the development of organizational models across all BUs. The HR team has already completed comprehensive organizational analysis, mapping roles and competencies. Now, a Leader is needed to transform this work into a modern and agile organizational model.


Position – Specific responsibilities:

Directly reporting to the Group HR Director, the Head of Organization will be responsible for:

Organizational Analysis and Design

  • Map and analyze business processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization
  • Design and implement organizational solutions aligned with corporate strategies and emerging trends (lean & agile, pmo)
  • Propose initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and adaptability to market and regulatory changes
  • Conduct in-depth organizational analyses and diagnostics, both functional and cross-functional, at micro and macro levels
  • Develop organizational mechanisms and systems for integration and coordination, collaborating with other functions (ICT, Control)

Corporate Governance and Structure

  • Define and update the company's organizational model, ensuring role clarity and proper allocation of responsibilities
  • Maintain up-to-date job descriptions and role profiles
  • Collaborate with HR functions to implement talent and competency management policies
  • Manage the design and evolution of the organizational structure
  • Lead workforce planning activities across the Group, anticipating skill and staffing needs

Change Management

  • Lead transformational projects related to organizational change, ensuring engagement and involvement of company functions
  • Work closely with divisions and subsidiaries on strategic projects (business model evolution, ICT projects, PMI initiatives)
  • Foster a company culture cantered on innovation and continuous improvement
  • Partner with Management and HR Business Partners to align organizational initiatives with strategic objectives
  • Support BUs and corporate functions in managing new projects or structural changes, acting as Project Manager, when required

Compliance and Regulatory Framework

  • Ensure organizational processes comply with industry regulations and corporate governance standards
  • Contribute to drafting and refining operational procedures (in collaboration with Quality Assurance and ICT)


Requirements:

  • Degree in Economics and Management, Engineering, or related fields. Master’s degree in business Admin. or Organization (preferred)
  • At least 7-10 (up to 15) years of relevant experience in similar roles within structured and large Organizations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Business Process Management (BPM) methodologies
  • Experience with digital tools for organizational management and project management
  • Knowledge of new models and trends in Organizational Design and Work Organization
  • Ability to analyse and model processes (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)

  • Strong business judgment to manage internal clients and present qualified propositions

  • Strong communication and influencing skills: ability to bring all stakeholders together, build trust, and facilitate decision-making
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Excellent relationship skills and emotional intelligence
  • Fluency both in Italian and English is a must
