Head of Operations Italy

To lead our Italian Operations team, we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Head of Operations . This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in managing and optimising our Operations to support continued business growth.

Not only will you be leading the Operations department, but you will also be a member of our Country Management team, working with senior leaders on delivering long-term business strategies.

What is your role?

1. Lead the development and implementation of multi-year plans for this important area of responsibility, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities, and ensuring integration with the wider company strategy.
2. Lead teams and oversee operations activities, ensuring excellent partnering relationships with internal clients.
3. Manage and report on the performance of a diverse team of about 70 people (permanent and temporary workers), including 5 direct reports.
4. Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and promote a safety-first culture within the site.
5. Oversee processes involved in transportation to ensure customer satisfaction, minimize costs, and reduce delivery times.
6. Supervise all aspects of site maintenance, statutory compliance, and the general upkeep of the building and grounds.

Who are you?

1. Demonstrated success in managing logistics functions.
2. Experience in facilities management and transport.
3. Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, safe systems, and compliance requirements.
4. Strong leadership and team management abilities with advanced communication skills.
5. Ability to analyze data, monitor KPIs, and drive performance.
6. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make quick, informed decisions when required.
7. Excellent business English skills (B2 / C1 level).
